"A blend of two vineyards, Block W on Bien Nacido and Solomon Hills. For the 2004 yields were cut to 2 tons per-acre. This Chardonnay will be much like the 2002, very steely with a lot of minerality. Big bold acid with no fat here! Flavors are the subdued tropical notes Santa Maria is noted for, as well as peaches, pears and white flowers on the nose."
