"This 100% Viognier comes from The "Domaine de Salente", an old property of 38 hectares (100 acres) situated 25 miles from Montpellier in the Languedoc region. Jean-Luc Colombo has been the consulting oenologist of the domaine since 1988 and was the first to plant Viognier in the area. All the grapes come from 45 year-old vines. 30% of the wine is matured in one and two-year-old barrels; 70% in stainless steel tanks. Aromas of flowers and peaches lead to a crisp and clean palate that echoes the flavors. This is a great choice served as an aperetif or with mixed appetizers. It is a very versatile wine when paired with food. Drink now and over the next 2 -3 years. "

"drank it too warm but seemed flat, without the typical aromatic nose of the Viognier. Maybe the bottle had been opened for too long as well."
