Tasting Notes
A fine wine from the vineyard of "Referts." Fine fruit driven bouquet with citrus fruit and mineral undertones.
Winemaking
8 to 10 months aging in oak barrels with 100% malolactic fermentation
Description
According to the history books, the village of Puligny gained its name from Puliniacus, a Gallo-Roman military encampment. The Montrachet aspect was added in the last century to stress the consistently excellent quality of the wines produced in the local vineyards. "The Referts" is a wine that is rich and opulent marrying a herbal fruitiness with both steeliness and a fat, buttery character. The finish is powerful with apple undertones."
