"Deep and dark ruby, 90% saturated with little to no breakup at the edge. Salacious nose of cherry, rosewater, candy cigarettes, some good talcum-like minerality and a touch of cinnamon. Not much garrigue or earth to speak of but some soft leather nuances come out after a few hours of decanting. A great supply of tannins and complimentary acidity are outstanding for my personal taste. This is right in the "wham-bam-New World-ma'am" sweet spot but I have no perception of over-extraction here. The aromas are confirmed by flavor and it goes solo as well as with food. Lots of umame factor and I'll bet the Rs is a little high for the varietal, if you want to be technical. but it's big, smooth, balanced, and with secondary flavors and bouquets that are interesting. Very sexy wine "
