"Several months ago I was at the Boston Wine Expo and someone came up to me with a glass of wine and asked me to guess what it was (great, just what I love). While tasting this wine and trying so hard to figure out what it was, I was struck by its intensity and elegance. I really started thinking I was tasting a top notch Rhone wine, but the fruit was too bright and the mouthfeel was a tad new world--so luckily for me I zoned in on Spain. And as I said, "This is from Spain," I could see the person light up giving me the confidence to think I "nailed it." But what was to come after this moment is what has led to this email. I was asked how much I thought the wine cost. I pondered for a second and didn't want to short change them and guess low so I gave it my best shot...."$40-$60?" I was floored by the answer and hence this offer! The '05 Edetana is a bold and wonderful wine, well worth putting a case away for anyone that really likes serious wine at not so serious prices! For the next 6 weeks I worked very hard on the supplier to get this wine under $20. We started at a $26 retail so I am very proud of my negotiating skills and even more proud of the fact that I think you guys will be blown away by this effort!" - Gary Vaynerchuk,"

"91 Points - Jay Miller - The Wine Advocate "The 2005 Via Edetana is 33% Garnacha, 33% Garnacha Peluda, and 34% Carinena aged for 10 months in French oak. Purple-colored, it delivers an enticing bouquet of earth, mineral, blueberry, and black cherry. This is followed by an elegant wine with layers of spicy fruit, light tannin, and excellent balance. Already offering complexity, it should continue to evolve for 2 to 3 years and drink well through 2020." "($25; one-third each of garnacha, garnacha peluda and carinena) Inky ruby. Intensely perfumed nose offers a spicy array of dark berries, flowers, smoky minerals and pungent herbs. Fresh, silky black raspberry and cherry flavors coat the palate, which shows good smoky mineral lift on the back. Gains sweetness and depth on the long, sappy finish. This is delicious." - 90 Points- Josh Raynolds- International Wine Cellar " Best 2010-2020
