"A rich, subtle combination of elegant pear, fig and citrus, with layers of smoky, toasty oak, builds to a complex mix of flavors, with a touch of marshmallow and subtle fruit and oak notes. Drink now through 2011. 1,300 cases made. –JL"

"Tremendous; packs in lots of flavor and offers plenty of finesse. It exhibits wonderful aromas of blossoming flowers, ripe pear, fig, apricot and citrus fruit with an opulent, rich mouthfeel that coats the palate. Despite all the up-front fruit and richness, this is an elegantly styled wine. To be released September 2004. Drink now through 2008. 1,440 cases made. (JL)"

"Green-tinged yellow. Pear, fig and tangerine on the pungent nose. Pliant flavors of orchard fruits, spices and honeysuckle are nicely framed and lifted by a citrus element. Finishes with honey and citrus notes and excellent clarity; this is showing more heft than the La Carriere right now."
