"The 2008 Viognier may be one of the finest white wines John and Lorraine Alban have produced. This effort continues to go from strength to strength, and the 2008 appears to be just as strong as the 2007 (another sign that 2008 was a very strong vintage for Central Coast whites). This effort exhibits plenty of lychee nut and honeysuckle notes intermixed with hints of marmalade, flowers, and tropical fruits. It is a full-bodied, blockbuster Viognier to enjoy over the next several years. (91-94)."

"Bright yellow-gold. Explosively perfumed, seductive bouquet of passion fruit, white peach and tangerine, along with notes of jasmine and violet. Deeply concentrated but energetic, offering vibrant orchard and pit fruit flavors and exotic floral and spice nuances. Finishes with a strong snap of minerality and outstanding persistence."
