94 points "Inky purple. Intensely floral bouquet of dark berries, cherry compote, licorice, magnolia and violet. Lush, creamy black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors are complemented by candied violet and cracked pepper. Velvety tannins add grip to the long, juicy, spicy finish. This looks like it will be highly appealing soon after release. 94-95 points."

96 points "Opaque purple-colored, with an incredible nose of creosote, scorched earth, hot rocks, coffee, barbecue smoke, blackberries and cassis is the 2007 Syrah Reva. The wonderful, broad, expansive mid-palate is stacked and packed in this multi-dimensional wine. It shows virtually no evidence of new oak thanks to its sheer concentration and power. (96-100)."

96 points "The 2008 Reva (Syrah) is stunningly beautiful. This is a relatively delicate, feminine Reva that impresses for its length, balance and utter purity of fruit. Dark red cherries, flowers, mint and silky, saline notes wrap around the expressive fruit on the long, polished finish. A hint of truffles adds to the wine’s sensual, totally beguiling personality. In 2008, the Reva is drop-dead gorgeous. Readers should note that, in this vintage, there is no Lorraine or Seymour’s, so the 2008 is a “super-Reva!” (96+)." Best 2013-2020
