Where the 2002s tend to be more fruit driven and flamboyant, the 2001s are more muscular, masculine, and structured. This dense ruby/purple-colored 2001 exhibits additional tannin, structure, and lead pencil characteristics intermixed with saddle leather, new oak, and black fruit notes.
