""Tight and structured, with dense, pure notes of detailed dark berry, mineral, spice and road tar extract. Full-bodied, chewy and complex, this gets more interesting with every sip." "

"The 2005 High Road from that fabulous site, the James Berry Vineyard, is a blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and 20% Mourvedre. Elegant cassis and kirsch notes intermixed with some spring flowers and spice jump from the glass of this dark ruby/slightly purple-tinged wine. Intensely flavorful, medium-bodied, and beautifully pure, this is a winner in a very French, finesse style with a judicious touch of wood. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. "
