91 points "Tasted this for the book in January but it’s been released for a while now. Ummed and ahhd on the score a little bit, but came out in its favour (with the higher score) in the end. Nice packaging. Has a bit of gum leaf and green bean but it’s attractive (depending on your view of things) – then chocolate, violet and berries. There’s plenty of flavour, the tannins appropriate, firm but balanced, and the length is solid. Has lots of appeal and regional charm. Perhaps it could do with a little more oomph and length, although maybe that’s not its style. Drinks well, and if you like a leafy, fragrant style of Cabernet, then this will hit the spot. Good value too. Rated : 91 Points Tasted : Jan10 Alcohol : 14.5% Price : $25 Closure : Screwcap Drink : 2010 - 2015 Visit winery website" Best 2010-2015

95 points "A pure lifted black fruit bouquet, showing touches of violet, cedar and regional leafiness; the palate has lovely texture and depth, showing generosity on the one hand and firmness of structure on the other; long and luscious, but restrained and poised; a beautifully crafted successor to the Jimmy Watson-winning 2007. Screwcap. 14.5% alc. Rating 95 Drink 2020 $25 Date Tasted Mar 10 " Best 2012-2020
