91 points "Good deep ruby-red. Brooding aromas of cassis, blueberry and minerals. Bright but broad on the palate; almost surprisingly rich, full and sweet. I find this suaver in texture than the 2007 version, perhaps due in part to the quality of the 25% cabernet franc component. Boasts excellent depth too. Finishes with serious, broad tannins and lovely length. This will be a sexy wine after three or four years of bottle aging. 91-93 points" Best 2014-

93 points "The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a wonderful suppleness and forwardness that is almost atypical for these wines that have such a great track record for standing the test of time. Its dark ruby/purple color is accompanied by aromas of Christmas fruitcake, cedarwood, camphor, black currants and black cherries. The wine has a luscious texture, good opulence and flesh, and a heady finish. It should drink well for 12-15 years." Best -2022

94 points "Pure, rich and polished, which is unusual for this wine at this stage, since it can be quite tannic. Intense, with a fleshy, supple core of blackberry, currant, spice, mineral and wild berry flavors. Full-bodied, picking up a nice fruity lift on the finish. Drink now through 2022. 340 cases made. –JL" Best -2022
