This is refined and exceptionally pure and while it is on the lighter side, the focus, detail and precision is extremely impressive. Like the Ruchottes, this trades on elegance and refinement yet there is no lack of flavor authority despite the absence of raw size and weight...92. Burghound 1/07 "

The color is remarkably black followed by a blast of intensely sappy pinot fruit, long, rich, powerful and earthy flavors all held together by extraordinary balance. This is just flat out reference standard CSJ. Though it does not often achieve this, in 1999, the CSJ is as good as the Bèze. " Best 2015-
