"Yields were down close to 30% at Colson Canyon, helping to explain the deep ruby color and luscious red raspberry nose, gently laced with sweet coastal herbs. The attack, as always, is massive, a huge, mouth-filling assemblage of wild raspberry and dark plum preserves, bracketed by signature Colson Canyon vibrancy. All hedonism in its youth, but don't be afraid to lay this one down for 5-7 years."

"The warm days and cool nights of Colson always produce concentrated, fruit-forward wines rich in notes of blackberries, jammy black fruits, graphite and violets. This vintage also shows hints of mouthwatering red berries and plums that bring in an extra layer of brightness and complexity. The finish is long and lingering with appealing notes coffee and vanilla. Drink this wine now or age it up to ten years"
