"The 2010 Chardonnay Belle-Cote is a gorgeous, symmetrical wine with no beginning and no end. Sweet floral notes, licorice, mint and lemon are some of the nuances that emerge from this textured, graceful wine. The finish turns intensely aromatic and expressive. Here, too, there is considerable weight in the glass. (91-94)."

"The straw/green-colored 2008 Chardonnay Belle Cote (2,200 cases) exhibits abundant amounts of tropical fruit, orange blossom, citrus oil, honeysuckle, and pineapple characteristics intermixed with a hint of smoke. With superb ripeness and an intense, layered style, it, too, should keep for a decade. (94-96)."

"By Stephen Tanzer
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/Jun 06
($70) Good bright, pale yellow. Subdued but pure aromas of peach, nectarine, orange rind, rose petal and lichee. Although rather backward, this began suppler than the Carriere despite conveying an impression of solid acidity. Very dry and sophisticated chardonnay with excellent length. I found myself raising my score every time I went back to this wine, which gained sweetness with aeration. 93(+?) points "
