"Zesty blackberry, wild berry, cedar and spice flavors are complex and full-bodied, a touch coarse and rustic from midpalate on, ending with gritty tannins. Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Best from 2012 through 2020. 5,000 cases made. –JL"

"93 2004 Justin Justification
Bordeaux Blend, Paso Robles, $42
Justin proves that Bordeaux can succeed in western Paso Robles, but interestingly, the wine is Cab Franc and Merlot, with no Sauvignon. Both varieties do well in cooler areas, and this wine does have good acidity and a rich earthiness suggesting butter-sauteed mushrooms with a splash of soy. An interesting, complex wine; a natural beauty to pair with food. — S.H.
