95 points "This has great presence, offering a dense cloud of blackberry, cherry and spice flavors that hover, almost weightless, over a sleek frame of fine tannins, with just enough acidity to keep it fresh. The finish sails on beautifully. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Best from 2012 through 2020. 1,095 cases made. –HS" Best 2012-2020

"Baer 'Ursa' 2003 50% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Malbec What can we say...this is one of our personal favorites for cellaring and drinking whenever we get our greedy hands on some. The 2003 Ursa continues the evolution of Baer's signature wine. Ursa is designed as a more feminine expression of a red wine blend – beautifully aromatic with velvety tannins. This '03 vintage takes even further steps toward refined balance and mouthfeel. Blending lush, warm Merlot with seductively floral Cabernet Franc creates an elegant wine that pairs particularly well with food. Expressive and approachable, this is a fine wine that may be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 years. This is the absolute last of the 2003 vintage. The 2004 Ursa is just being released and you should really stock up on both. $29.99 If you're looking for a great food pairing with Baer's Ursa, I've heard anything blue cheese with this wine is fabulous and really a must try. I'll have to whip up something special on Sunday to enjoy my bottle of Ursa. "
