"89 Points Moderately deep ruby. A lovely and solidly layered nose of red and dark pinot fruit, currants and black cherry leads to delicious, supple and sophisticated medium-bodied flavors that possess solid mid-palate concentration. There is just a touch of austerity to the moderately complex, serious and well-balanced finish and overall, this stylish effort has the underlying material to reward 4 to 6 years of cellaring. 89/2017+ Allen Meadows' Burghound.com - April, 2013 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar logo. 90 Points Bright ruby. Intense, spice-accented aromas of cherry and dark berries, with smoke and cola overtones. Penetrating black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show very good depth and pick up dark chocolate and licorice notes with air. Structured but not at all hard, finishing with solid punch and lingering smokiness. Josh Raynolds, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar - August, 2012 Wine Spectator logo. 90 Points - Light in texture, dark in flavor, with spicy blackberry and black olive flavors set on a delicate frame, finishing with a whiff of coffee. Drink now through 2018. Harvey Steiman, Wine Spectator - February 28, 2013 Bacchus and Beery Wine Blog logo. 4.1 - A very good wine, in our humble opinion An extremely approachable and eminently enjoyable Pinot Noir. The nose offers aromas of dark fruit, spice and just the tiniest hint of campfire smoke. The palate is treated to bright berry flavors, dark cherry, bluegerry and ripe raspberry with subtle notes of cola and smoke. The wine is very well-balanced with soft tannins and enough acidity to pair well with the chicken in wild mushrooms we served. Bacchus and Beery - January 22, 2013 Nobu Matsuhisa Restaurant, Vail, CO logo. The 2010 Estate definitely carries new winemaker Jerry Murray's finger prints. It showcases lush red raspberries with the typical underlying cherry cola. Slight nutty marzipan tones that evolve on the mid palate. The wine has richness, lively acidity and wonderful earth and mineral tones shine through. Textbook Pinot Noir that finishes with richness, dark plum and a velvety texture. Andreas Harl, Sommelier & Beverage Director, Nobu Matsuhisa, Vail, CO - July 2012"
