94 points "Hazy yellow. Wild, intensely perfumed bouquet evokes citrus pith, poached pear, ginger and iodine, with a smoky overtone and emphatic spiciness. The iodinery minerality of this wine reminds me of uni! Deeply pitched citrus fruit and floral flavors are braced by tangy acidity and complemented by toasted nut and honey nuances. Clings with outstanding tenacity, leaving notes of smoky minerals and lemon zest behind."

94 points "Scents of unbuttered popcorn, crushed rocks, quince, and white currants soar from the glass of the light straw/green-hued 2008 Chardonnay Ma Belle Fille (Peter Michael’s highest elevation vineyard). Powerful in the mouth with full-bodied fruit, spectacular concentration, remarkable length, good minerality, tremendous intensity, and a monster finish, it should drink well for a decade. (94-96)." 94 points "Notably rich and perfumed, with deep, persistent, concentrated layers of fig, honeysuckle, tangerine and nectarine that are opulent and unctuous. Sensational finish too. Drink now through 2011. 2,000 cases made. –JL" Best 2008-2011
