89 points "Color: dark; Nose: complex; Aromas: dried fruit; Acidity: crisp; Sweetness: dry; Body: firm; Finish: medium; Overall: pleasant; My first impressions were of bret and sangiovese. The flavors were first of bret or sangiovese, that kind of slight horsey flavor. But on the second sip, this decreased and the firm tannins and moderate fruit became more prevalent. Although I own a lot of sangioves (brunello and super tuscan), I have yet to see the one that truly ages like a Cali cab or great bordeaux. I would drink up because the fruit is fading slowly, but the tannins seem to be firm and the acid is still as to be expected. The cabernet came through more as the wine opened in my glass, but that bret/sangio horsey odor and taste still remained in the background." Best 2006-
