4 stars "The family name "Tamblyn" is in recognition of our grandmother's ancestors who migrated to Australia from Cornwall, England. The 'Tamblyn' blend utilises the characteristics of the different varietals to give a wine that is full flavoured and balanced with a very approachable mouth feel. Cabernet Sauvignon provides the complementary tannin structure, Shiraz adds berry fruit weight, Malbec adds a perfumed lift and intense colour and the Merlot rounds out the palate. The wine is complex but approachable so can be enjoyed now or cellared for a few years. The components for Tamblyn were individually fermented in open top fermenters which allowed for optimal extraction of colour and flavour. The wine was matured in a combination of new and old French and American barrels for 18 months before blending and bottling. Food: A terrific food wine, enjoy with meat, pasta, chicken, pizza, cheese or at anytime. Cellaring: Soft enough to drink now or reward with cellaring for up to 5 years. Alcohol: 14% 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Shiraz, 10% Malbec and 6% Merlot." Best 2015-2017
