"Combines savory black currents, plums, and black cherries. But what lifts the wine to a higher level is a bed of tannins that is ripe and interwined with all the other flavors. The tannins keep the taste from getting sweet or flaccid, and give the wine a powerful, firm, and dry feel as well as the promise of a long life in the bottle. Yet the fruit manages to persist throughout the long aftertaste. A delightful and lovely interplay of flavors, that will only get better over the next decade."
