"This wine has a seductive toasty oak character but also a ripe, vivid black cherry and chocolate raspberry edge. The flavors are intense without being heavy, deep without being dense. Drink now through 2011. 160 cases produced. —J.L."

"This is the second vintage Bryan Harrington has made wine from Gap's Crown Vineyard, a cool, rocky spot in the southeastern corner of the Petaluma Gap, near the town of Penngrove. It has a natural feel, a gentle harmony infused by the winds off the Pacific that makes the red fruit transparent even as its flavors last for minutes. Scents of red earth and conifer forest add a complex spice to the fruit, fresh and beautifully knit. The intensity of flavor and its dynamic evolution with air suggest it will age well."
