" Inky ruby in color, the nose offers a sweet roasted coffee bean character that is underscored by cherry, vanilla and herbs. The Merlot driven (80 percent) La Grace Dieu 2000 Saint-Emilion shows lots of off-sweet, lush, ripe fruit on the palate with obvious cedary oak notes, excellent structure, moderate complexity, and a long, warm finish. Although drinking well now, this little gem should continue to improve over the next five to ten years."
