95 points "When I first saw the price on this I started channeling Michael Caton in The Castle ( 'Tell 'em they're dreaming') .About half way through the first glass though I saw the light. This is quite a wine. Smells pretty, almost feminine, with cherry, liquorice and dusty, dried flowers. Flavours are ripe and in the cherry spectrum but intensely savoury with a liberal coating of dry, grainy tannins that offer both backbone and an excellent cellaring future. There's a fascinating, Italianate feel about this wine that sets it apart from many Australian Durif's- regardless of its influences, this is an exceptional wine that fully meets the lofty expectations engendered by its price tag.
