"A brilliant effort, the opaque ruby/purple-tinged 2005 Mas de Maha tastes like a hypothetical blend of a top-notch Bandol and Chateauneuf du Pape from France and a Spanish Toro. A blend of 60% Tempranillo, 15% Grenache, and 15% Mourvedre, it offers an expressive bouquet of sandalwood, blueberries, raspberries, kirsch, pepper, resin, spice, and earth. Medium to full-bodied, seriously endowed, and complex, this tasty red will provide plenty of pleasure over the next 4-5 years. "
