"The 2005 James Berry Vineyard (one of the truly great vineyard sites in California) is a blend of 70% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre, and the rest Grenache. This wine exhibits beautiful minerality intermixed with floral notes, creme de cassis, blackberry, and some damp earth and pepper. The wine is structured, rich, and one of the few wines that seems to require 2-4 years of bottle age. It should keep for two decades. This is a stunning wine that is available in modest quantities of around 500 cases."
