"Vincent Mongeard believes that the 2002 vintage produced "very distinguished wines with beautifully nuanced and complex flavors, even at the generic level (Bourgogne). Yields were reasonable though not really low as we brought in 35 hl/ha for the grands crus and around 40 for the villages wines. In short, it’s a classy vintage with a style that I really haven’t seen in quite a number of years. If I had to choose, I would suggest that it has the reserve of 1991and the generosity of 1993. I would guess that it will be a perfect vintage to enjoy in 10 years." (Quoted by Steven Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, 01/04) K&L's Notes: "Toasty nose. Compared to Bruno Clair's bourgogne, this is much more opulent and rich on the palate, as you might expect from a Vosne Romanée producer. However, it lacks a bit of the drive, purity and elegance that the Clair shows. Rich and delightful for every day drinking. (Keith Wollenberg, K&L Burgundy Buyer, 05/04)"

3 stars "Bright red color, not too big a nose but fruity with notes of strawberry and rasberry. On the palate, young and juicy, with a good balance between fruit and acidity. Overall, not very complex but very food-friendly"
