"Color: bright; Nose: closed; Aromas: floral, sweet, black berry; Acidity: crisp; Sweetness: dry; Body: medium-bodied; Finish: medium; Overall: pleasant; A very light red color. This wine was very closed to the nose, I did notice strong alcohol aroma with hints of currants, blackberries, some sweetness and floral. I cannot stress enough how closed this wine was. I wonder what a couple of hours of decating would have done. This is a dry wine with high acid and little tannins and some hidden heat in the back of the palate. This wine pairs well with all foods, I had a version of baked ziti and my wife had Fettuccine Alfredo and we were both happy with our wine selection. I can understand why Barbera is the everyday Italian wine. Would buy again. "
