"94-96 points: I have a slight preference for the 2001 Syrah Lorraine Vineyard (150 six-packs produced), which was aged in 100% new oak. From a vineyard planted on stony soil with less clay, it possesses great fruit purity as well as a soft, voluptuous texture, and a precocious, accessible personality. With fabulous concentration and chewiness in addition to a blockbuster finish, it looks to be a real winner."
