"The longer this wine remained open the better it became. Spicy vanillin oak, dark chocolate and blackberry are evident on the bouquet. Smooth, tight, supple tannins and well-judged acid combine with pure, deep, beautifully ripe, strong fruit that delivers blackberry, spicy oak, black pepper, 85% Lindt dark chocolate, and aniseed flavours that finish long and persistent. The complexity is well developed and the construction harmonious. A definite step up in quality over the reserve Shiraz, it is in excellent example of the full-bodied in your face Rutherglen Shiraz and is rated as Highly Recommended with **** for value.
