"This is presently much more aromatically reserved with mocha, chocolate and warm, slightly roasted earth aromas lurking in the background that lead to structured but rich full-bodied flavors that offer excellent complexity, power and length though it's no model of finesse. This isn't my style but it will certainly please those who enjoy dramatic and muscular burgundies."

"89-92 points: Ruby-red, a bit less saturated than the Echezeaux. Brooding aromas of black plum, chocolate and game, lifted by minerality. Sweet but tight, with juicy, imploded flavors enlivened by floral and mineral nuances. This offers good life in the mouth. The firm but ripe tannins are in harmony with the wine's stuffing and fruit."
