"Color: deep; Nose: fragrant; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: medium dry; Body: firm; Finish: persistent; Overall: well balanced; just when I thought that I had to return to Belgium lambics for consistency of taste and complexity for a reasonable price I was fortunate enough to start to get into rijoas. this one is was a rec from K&L, "a steal at this price." indeed it is very good, medium tannins, matched with good fruit and a slight sweetness to start. not to bold, not to sharp, not to sweet, not to fruity, the goldilocks so to say."

"I have served friends the brilliant 2001 Crianza (98% Tempranillo and 2% Graciano) just to prove what great wine can be purchased even with a weak dollar. It is a complex, elegant, deep ruby/purple-tinged offering boasting a sweet nose of lead pencil shavings, white chocolate, blackberries, and cherries. Medium-bodied with supple tannin as well as admirable structure, definition, and ripeness, it can be enjoyed now and over the next 5-8 years."

"A light, traditional-style red, shows balance, with cherry, cedar and spice flavors mingling nicely over firm tannins. Drink now. 3,000 cases imported. (TM)"
