"Dark spice cake and black currant jam aromas segue powerful fruit flavours of kirsch liqueur, sweet vanilla and dried currant that mingle with moderating acidity and a grippy tannin structure. Rich and concentrated, medium weight and fairly textured this will reward patient cellaring—drink 2012 to 2018. The lingering well-balanced finish layers on nuances of oak, mint and earthy tones.
