"The 2004 Vermentino is our third vintage of this varietal best known in Corsica, Sardinia, and northern Italy, but also found in the Rhône Valley, Côtes de Provence and languedoc under the name Rolle. The wine was vinified in stainless steel, and we stopped malolactic fermentation to emphasize the varietal's brightness and freshness. A clean bright nose of citrus leaves, white pepper, juniper and grapefruit, with no influence of oak. Flavors of green apple and lime are followed by refreshing acidity and a lingering finish. It makes a delightful summer wine and is excellent with grilled vegetables, fresh seafood and dishes with fresh basil and tomato."

"Bright light-straw color. Nose is shy but pleasant with pear, honey and mineral aromas and hints of Provencal herbs. Dry, crisp and mouth-coating on the palate with green apple flavors on the finish. Excellent with a fish stew."
