"Color: dark; Nose: complex; Aromas: nutty, woody, black berry; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: dry; Body: tannic; Finish: persistent; Overall: bold; We were looking forward to this, but it didn't live up to expectations. We didn't decant this wine because we thought it might be too fragile, but this is actually robust and could have used some aeration. The aromas and initial tastes were harsh. After it settled down, some elegant flavors of spice and dark fruit shone through."
