"The 2006 Beaucastel Cotes du Rhone Coudoulet red is another sleeper of the vintage. Attractive sweet kirsch notes intermixed with incense, dried herb, ground pepper, and new saddle leather, with a hint of animal fat are superimposed on a wine with superb fruit, medium to full body, a lush mid-palate, and tangy acidity in the finish.
