"Cropped at 1.5 tons of fruit per acre, the opaque ruby/purple-tinged 2003 Syrah Clone No. 1 Purisima Mountain boasts a rich, sumptuous perfume of black fruits and raspberries, a structured, well-delineated, medium to full-bodied palate, and tremendous purity, length, and muscle. The acidity is low, but the fruit and texture give this wine immediate appeal. It should evolve gracefully for 10-12 years."
