" -- Made from the Tempranillo (90/95%) grape with a touch of Mazuelo. Aged for 2 years in cask (the first one in new oak) and 1 1/2 years in bottle. Very attractive full bold flavors with hints of vanilla. A delicious bouquet with classical Rioja characteristics. 12%-12.5% Vol. It fulfills all the official requirements to be considered a Reserva wine, and is in fact sold as such in the export market. -- TASTING NOTE: Colour bright cherry red with touches of iodine at the rim of the glass. A strong, elegant aroma with hints of the grape variety married with cinnamon and coconut from careful cask ageing. In the mouth the wine is smooth and well balanced with a delicate touch of acidity so typical of the brand and the sub area. The aftertaste is long and most agreeable with a persistence reminiscent of its maturation in oak."

90 points "Dark red. Redcurrant, dried cherry and vanillin oak on the nose, with a smoky mineral quality in the background. Lively red fruit and rose pastille flavors are complemented by sweet vanilla bean and cola nuances. The oakiness fades away on the long finish, which is juicy, expansive and seamless. This wine's lively acidity makes it refreshing and easy to drink now, but it really deserves patience.""
