"Sumptuous and bruising, it’s packed with meaty, black and briary fruit amply balanced by sweet, toasty cedar/vanilla oak and firm, presently rather blocky tannins. Dense and deeply layered, with thick, concentrated and profoundly ripened fruit, assertive oak and a robust, drying astringency. Bordering overcooked, it’s actually finely balanced although it is years away from being ready to drink. (South Australia, 18.7/95, drink 2014-2022+)"
