"A relatively high-toned nose of black berry fruit, in particular raspberry and cherry, and Vosne spice is trimmed in moderate wood treatment that complements the round, rich and supple flavors that culminate in a textured but very awkward and unbalanced finish that terminates abruptly. Lamarche said that it had been recently racked with SO2 added but this doesn’t have that kind of sulfur-induced dryness. In short, it’s honestly hard to say, particularly since all of the other wines appear to my eye as being well made and entirely appropriate to their appellations."
