"From another old vine site from Contra Costa (planted in 1896), the 2007 Zinfandel Salvador Vineyard represents the first of a group of wines that had not yet been bottled. More tart acidity is noticeable than in the other Contra Costa single vineyard wine, Duarte. It also shows briery, black raspberry, and cherry fruit intermixed with soil, underbrush, and pepper undertones. It should drink nicely for 5-6 years."
