"This wine is impressive for its pure, ripe currant, plum and blackberry flavors, and also its elegance and grace, with a supple texture and complex array of flavors, finishing with a burst of ripe, juicy flavors, integrated tannins and a touch of cedary oak. Drink now through 2010. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 5,800 cases made. (JL)"

"This may be the finest effort from B.R. Cohn since their gorgeous 1984 and 1985 (made by the then little-known Helen Turley). A dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by a striking nose of violets, blackberries, cassis, and smoke. Rich, medium to full-bodied, pure, and nicely layered with firm tannin, excellent balance, and a heady, concentrated finish, it can be consumed now and over the next decade."
