"A full-bodied wine, replete with blackcurrant, blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate fruit, the tannins firm but in balance, oak in the back seat. Will develop very well. Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Petit Verdot. Screwcap.

"Rosemount Traditional a blend of cabernet sauvignon (eighty-four per cent), merlot and petit verdot (eight per cent each). It won a Jimmy Watson for a previous vintage, but it still struggles to gain popularity – probably because it tastes different from what you’d expect of a McLaren Vale red.
It’s dusty, curranty and earthen, with lots of savoury, dry tannin and a real flourish through the finish. Nice form, nice style, nice wine. There’s something majestic about this. It should perform well in the cellar medium term, too.
