92 points "This wine is dark ruby red and has a vegetative bouquet. The taste is a dark red fruit. It has a good balance of fruit, acid and soft tannins. The winemaker blends this with Malvasia because Malvasia also has soft tannins. It is different from the Super Tuscans blended with Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot." Best 2009-2013

90 points "This cuts a broad swath across the palate, with dense plum, black cherry and spice flavors. Chunky in profile, with dusty tannins and a salty licorice finish. Sangiovese and Malvasia Nera. Better than previously reviewed. Best from 2013 through 2022. 2,500 cases made. –BS" Best 2013-2022
