"Good bright medium red. Raspberry and spice aromas are lifted by orange zest, with a note of bitter chocolate coming up quickly; almost pinot-like. Then juicy, sweet and easygoing, with good definition to its dark fruit, spice and pepper flavors. Finishes with hints of licorice and herbs. A very good basic zinfandel bottling, and a solid value."
