"The 1999 Beaucastel boasts aromas of blackberry fruit intermixed with casssis, licorice, roasted meats, leather, and truffles. While it does not possess the fat or precociousness of the 1998 or 2000, it displays more definition and elegance. This full-bodied, concentrated, classic Beaucastel is built along the lines of the 1995 and 1990. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2025. "
