"Speaking of big Zinfandels, the super 2009 Zinfandel Turley Estate is produced from a tightly-spaced (3 x 6) vineyard near the winery north of St. Helena. It displays lots of briery black raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with Provencal herbs, pepper and loamy, earthy soil notes. Full-bodied, rich, layered and multidimensional, this is about as good a 2009 Zinfandel as readers will find. (92-94)."
