"The nose is a complex blend of cassis, dark cherry, asian spices/soy, and musk. The palate unfolds in layers of musk, dark fruits, and asian spices. There is some alcoholic heat on the palate as well as a tannic edge, but the fruit shows real depth and intensity. The finish has great fruit but it is shorter than expected. Overall, this is a very interesting wine with a complex nose, dense fruit, a little heat, solid tannins, and a good finish. This would be interesting to try again in 5 more years. "
