89 points "By Wine Enthusiast Burgess 2001 Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) Points: 89 Designation: Vintage Selection Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon Appellation: Napa Valley, Napa, California, US Winery: Burgess Bottle Size: 1.50 L Category: Red In Magazine: 7/1/2005 This is a good example of a well-crafted Napa Cab from a great vintage. It’s rich and fruity in black currant, sweet herb and spice flavors, with a good but understated application of oak. Feels sturdy and clean in the mouth, fully dry, with a long finish. 3 stars "Color: bright; Nose: complex; Aromas: red berry; Acidity: lively; Sweetness: medium dry; Body: firm; Finish: medium; Overall: pleasant; Lively wine with a very fragrant bouquet of cedar, and ripe red Berries. Easy to drink and enjoy. Very complex taste of rasberries and plum intertwined with a light cedar. I highly recommend it compared to many Napa Cabernet prices. "
